I love my job as a photographer, and I LOVE newborn photography sessions.  Each newborn baby is completely different and it is amazing to see their little personalities.  I also love seeing hoe in love new parents are with their sweet newborn babies.  This precious 8 day old baby was just a doll.  She slept for her entire session and was just adorable.  I could have photographed her all day, and she probably would have let me.

This sweet 6 day old newborn baby was a dream to photograph.  I had been particularly looking forward to this session after this mama’s maternity session which took place on an extremely cold windy day. I was totally impressed with how well her 4 kids behaved despite the chilly temps that day.  (I am admittedly often impressed with moms.  I only have 2 kids and I know how hard it is to get them ready, looking cute and then expect them to tolerate a photo-shoot.  My own kids have been a nightmare for every single session we have ever had…) Well, after doing so many fall family photography sessions I was excited to have a nice newborn session in my cozy little studio.  This sweet baby was so laid back, which will come in handy for sure, considering she is number 5!  I really have the best job.  I love getting in the baby snuggles and capturing these beautiful newborn baby’s lives.

I got the call that every newborn photographer anticipates with trepidation.  Newborn TWINS!!! I was incredibly  nervous and wanted to get it right, but babies are unpredictable and with two newborns anything could happen! Lucky for us these sweet boy/girl twins were perfect.  They were a month old, but also born about a month early, but from the get go they were sleeping and just perfect.  I will be up late editing these every night because I just love them all.

Well I have been slacking on blogging because it's October, which is the busiest month of the year for me.  Not only has it been busy with fall photos, but I just finished an amazing newborn class, did a couple of fundraiser preschool photo-sessions and photographed my first and probably last wedding (it was a favor for a dear friend:).

Baby Violet is 1!  It is hard to believe I have been photographing Violet for a year now.  She has always been a perfect model and her talented working mama of four, always has her perfectly styled in purple.  Happy birthday baby girl!

One week old Baby Jacob came for a studio session this week and although we had a huge thunderstorm (kind of an issue when you are a natural light photographer) we persevered!  I *might* say this after every newborn baby session, but I think I got one of my new favorite images!

Oh, how I love a newborn session!  Baby B. was perfect little 5-day-old, and slept for me the whole time.  I met his family a few months ago for their maternity photography session, and we will be working together for the next year:)  I usually only share 5 photographs, but there was no way I could narrow this one down that much.  I love them all!
